i'm so excited to share with you what i've been doing for two months!

i have been helping one of my oldest and dearest friends plan her daughters wedding.

i know it was not without stress but we sure had fun!

amy wanted a carnival theme and we ran with it.

we had different tents all with a different treat!

popcorn tent!

we also had a rootbeer float tent but

i failed to take a picture of it. boo.

most of my close friends will remember these 5.

our cake tent.

complete with the wedding cake and cake pops for the guests!

the bride and groom stood under these darling lights.

the picture just doesn't do it justice!

my kids got in on it and served sliders and

fries in snow cone cups!

and then we all got down and boogied!

don't ya love the cute aprons heidi made for

all of the helpers!

and last but not least a sparkler tunnel to say goodbye!

11 months old......

i'm getting so big...

i need to let you in on a little secret....

i lead a double life.

let me explain.

when my kids come in from school they

will sometimes ask me,

"what did you do today?"

i, in return will say,

"oh the usual, cleaning, laundry, played with griff..."

when in reality it was more like....

ran around like a bat out of you know where

to get the house picked up and then got out of dodge.

went to lunch with {fill in the blank}

went to a movie(in the middle of the day!!!!)i can't believe it either.

ran to ......

went to.....

all by 3:30 so i can keep up the appearance of being home all day.

now don't get me wrong.

this is not everyday or even twice a week.

but sometimes i've got to get outta here.

have a little fun.

but sometimes i don't want my kids to know.

is that wrong?

its for their own good.

they'd just be sad, and jealous.

on the off time that they find my cup from lunch(cover blown)

its like the spanish inquisition.

where'd you go?

with who?

what did you have?

is there any left over? ya right.

so until Griff can talk and blow the lid off this deal....

i'm keepin' it on the D.L.(down low)

but, if you see me out and about please say hi!

let's even do lunch!

just don't tell my kids ya saw me.

oh, here, there, and everywhere.

actually thats a lie.

ive been home.

enjoying the quiet.

i'm back to doing pictures again.

i really missed it.

except, i get nervous.

like i want to throw up nervous.

and then when i get there its gone.

ok, i know that this blog appears to be all about griff.

because lately it is.

this baby is the best thing we've done in along time.

(besides the other 4!)

he is pure joy.

i honestly don't know what i would have done with myself this school year.

(i maybe could have thought of something)

at least 5 times a day josh and i say to each other,

"seriously? we have an almost 1 year old?we are so lucky!"

crows feet. i know. just say it.

this is a series i call WHEN MOMMY ATTACKS!

he just lays there and takes it.

i guess he's used to it.

so that's all i have to say about that.

and on a much bigger note.....

josh's dad suffered a stroke yesterday.

it was very scary for him and our family.

luckily his wife was right there with him and callled 911.

at first he was unable to talk or move his left side but

they were able to give him the "golden shot"

and he has made a miraculous recovery.

he will have some speech and physical therapy

over the next few days but should be able to come home soon.

scary.

we are so grateful for the power of prayer and priesthood blessings

because i know that both of those things played a huge role in this.

we are blessed.

Dear Pottery Barn Kids,

i hate you.

you make me a crazy, obsessed person.

all of the sudden i want to home school.

and i don't even volunteer!

how? how do you do it?

all of the sudden i need a school room.

a school room!

i want my kids to do homework in a room like this.

hell, i'd go back to school if i can do my home work in a room like this.

pardon the french.

i guess for now i'll settle for the kitchen table.

but someday.

someday i'll have at least a couple of globes

hanging from the ceiling over a little desk

in a little corner of my house.

(literally 2 hours in the car yesterday. nonstop.)

bed.
