lets start at the very beginning...

so i have been very busy,

apparently.

let me walk you through it.

last night was tanners family bday party.

we made him this sweet candy gram.

i think we liked it.

 we broke out the kiddie pool for griff.

he's lov'n it.

i'm lov'n having him occupied.

enjoying morning walks.

enjoying evening walks.

more pool time.

some extended family time.

ahh, finally some yard time.

i love freshly mowed grass.

i snuck me in some st. george time.

just me and my friend.

it was beyond awesome.

we slept, ate, worked out, ate, shopped,

laid out....rinse, repeat. 

it was heaven.

its actually quite funny.

i call him my newborn toddler because he

wants to nap at 10 or 11 am.

well thats what we've been up to.

happy easter.

one of my favs.

and no, not just because of the clothes.

we started off easter at church.

i love this holiday and that

my children hopefully understand the true meaning.

we didn't do baskets or gifts this year.

we told them that sometime this week

they would be surprised with an

"i love you" gift.

what started out as my procrastination,

having house guests, and pure busy-ness

turned into a real focus on the "important stuff".

after chuch we made a quick pit stop

to see my mom and grandparents

(thanks for the 7-11 cards gramie!)

and then we headed to my dads

for the annual hunting of the eggs.

waiting so patiently.

hot and sweaty from all the work!

(side note, josh wants me to grow his

hair out, hence the shag. thoughts?)

and then sets up a store to purchase

some great fodder.

after my dads we went to temple square

and walked around

to enjoy the spirit there

and the sunshine!

all in all a great day.

sam has been begging for my chocolate cake.

its his favorite.

on day2 of spring break i delivered.

oh boy.

i swear i hear this thing calling my name.

in the fridge?

we like our cake cold.

made this for dinner.

oh yum.

try it.

so good, so easy, so crowd pleasing.

SWEET BEEF

1 lb. ground beef or turkey(i bought a flank steak and cut it up)

1/2 c. brown sugar

1/4 c. soy sauce

1 T. sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, minced (i used my fresh out of the jar)

1 tsp. ginger (i used ground ginger cause its all i had)

pinch of crushed red pepper (more or less, depending on preference)

green onions, chopped (optional) didn't.

snap peas (i used broccoli since my kids like it, i steamed it first for 4 minutes then threw it in for the last 10 minutes or so)

Heat oil in large skillet; add garlic and beef and brown. Whisk together remaining ingredients and add to pan and (this is when i added the broccoli) simmer a few minutes to blend flavors. Serve over rice.

anyone want to explain to me why i keep re-making

my bed when my baby quckly follows and destroys

so he can make a "fork"(fort)

the insanity.
