last night two little boys were having trouble sleeping.

i could hardly be angry when i peeked around the corner

and saw this....

they are so cute together.

griffin adores sam.

i hope the same can be said when

griffin is 9(sams age) and sam is 17.

just one of the boys!

sams buddy jack usually comes over after school.

sometimes sam isn't quite done with his homework

so jack will turn on a video game while he waits.

griff likes to grab a controller and "play" along with him.

it kills me.

he thinks he's really in on this!

so cute.

oh and griffs new words of the week:

bakitbaaaall(basketball)

jaaaashhh(josh)he walks around yelling this.

i have no idea where he picked that up.

somethin' about spring that gets the creative juices flow'n.

can you guess why my family hated me yesterday?

we had to go in to SL yesterday for dinner with my

dad to i took the oppertunity to snap a few shots.

no one liked me.

i really wanted a family shot but i was too lazy to get the tri pod out.

and it was cold.

oh well, maybe in the summer i'll hire a real photographer

to do some family pictures.

super cheesey i know.

but i'm going to put one in each of their rooms

so when they're mad at me they'll remember

how much i love them.

jk.

not a bad idea though.

stupid white truck.

but super cute kids if i do say so myself.

just don't tell them they have to do this

again this summer.

this is as irish as we get....

well, they aren't here but 4 hours(awake) per day.

seriously! i'm thankful everyday we took the leap

and had him!

he is such a delight

to all of us.

the other day when i took these he played outside

for an hour.

just happy as can be!

so next item,

this weekend was a little crazy.

it started off with a couple of things on friday

and then a shower for this darling friend on saturday...

we had loads of cupcakes!

thanks all of you who helped

and "wowed" all with your cupcake making abilities!

it was very fun being able to celebrate rachel

and sweet baby claire.

almost makes me want a baby girl.

almost.

next we had a fun night out.

dinner. shoppping. movie. friends.

we were giving rachel one more night out before

she has that baby on friday!

i then rounded out the weekend

speaking in sacrament meeting.

i can't tell you how relieved i am that that is over.

and then we ended with a "trek" fireside for ethan.

i am so glad he not only gets to go

but really wants to.

i of course bawled the entire time.

pioneer stories combined with music kills me.

and that is my weekend in a nutshell.

hope yours was great and

less busy than mine.

pfewwww, i'm tired just writing it.

life is good.

griffin update:

he is doing so much better!

we are currently weaning him off the meds.

we did take him in for a quick check and he

was starting a double ear infection. poor guy.

he really is such a trooper.

he has lost some weight, one lb. to be exact.

we are so grateful he has had such a speedy recovery.

thanks so much for all of the well wishes and concern.

we know that it was not life and death but sick babies

with breathing problems are scary.

i'm lucky.

so last night at 10pm. josh tells me

he needs a picture for a program

for some conference he has to speak at.

so i grab my camera, try to find some decent light, and start shooting.

the best part is, he is in his

pajamas on the bottom half.

we were laughing so hard i peed my pants.

he was trying to be so professional.

it was kill'n me.

maybe you had to be there.

as i put these on my computer and started editing

i thought, i am one lucky girl.

after almost 16 years,

the guy still melts my butter.

hello there.
well, vegas has been....weird.
we got in early yesterday.
griff was awesome on the flight.
it is only 1 hour after all.
we decided to go walk around,
get some lunch, then go check in.
we did that and then went back out.
then griffs 2 day cough took a turn.
for the worse.
we went back to the hotel to decide what to do.
he was weezing and fevering at this point.
after some discussion and a little help from some friends,
(thanks liza, meg, and birdie)
we ended up at a nightime ped's place.
they were super nice to us "out of towners"and diagnosed
our sweet boy with a raging case of RSV.
a breathing treatment later and a nebulizer in hand
(treatments every 4 hours, good thing vegas is the city that never sleeps!)
we were off.
so vegas rocks.
RSV does not.
poor griff.
and poor us. (insert sympathy here)
but on the upside H&M rocks my world,
and the Forever21 here has a kids section.
silver linings people.
