The one with the sad day.

Today was a sad day, after having fun at Gardner Village I got a call that my Grandma Nora had passed away. She is my dad's mom. She was 95 and ready to go but it is still so sad. I have had the privilege of taking care of her once a week since august. Up until the last little while she was very aware of everything going on and still making her classic remarks. I went to see her on saturday and she kept saying to me"come on Em lets get out of here" I'd ask her where she wanted to go and she said "I want an arbys and a coke". I had Ethan run to the vending machine and get her a coke and she drank it!! I loved my Grandma, she was funny, hardworking, a great cook, and a snob. Now I mean that in the nicest way because she had some caregivers coming into her home to help and when I'd come down I'd ask her how her day was and she would say"fine, but those girls just aren't one of us!!" She was hilarious. Ever since I can remember my Grandma had this broom in the corner of her kitchen, she said it was because she was the family witch, and on one of my visits she asked if I would take it home and carry on that tradition, I took it as a compliment. I love you grandma, I know you are happy.

The one with the Witches.

Today I took my kids out to Gardner Village to see the witches. It is a tradition and it gets us in a halloween mood! My kids love it and they get a kick out of all the funny witches and the way they pose them! It was a fun day!

The one where you all make fun of me!

Ok, I never thought I would be this person but I'm putting it out there I LOVE MY DOG! In fact I love him so much that I didn't want him to get chilly when he went outside to do his business so..... I made him a sweater. He looks so cute in it and even if you don't like dogs(which I have to admit I don't like dogs in general, just my dog, and of course Shelby's dog)You have to admit you want to snuggle with that cute little face!!!

The one with the Halloween fun!

We had a fun halloween party at my Dad's on saturday night. We carved pumpkins, ate yummy treats, and the kids "made" cookies with G'ma Tammy, I use the term "made" loosely because it consisted of the kids taking the dough out of the package and putting them on a tray. The kids loved it none the less and the clean up was a lot easier!!! Thanks Dad and Tam!!!

The one where "It's a Boy!!!"

It's not what you think, and for those of you know me might not believe what I'm about to say but today the Carmack family grew by 4 paws! We are so excited about our new addition and the kids are thrilled. OLIVER or Ollie for short is a Maltese. He is supposedly " low maintenance" and hypoallergenic which is great for Eliza. Come and see us and love on the only new baby this house will ever see again. Gifts and dinner will be accepted, come on it's like a new baby!!! maybe worse!

PS. Shelby got Ollies brother!!! It really is going to be too much fun!

Someone asked me the other day if Josh and I were "done". I knew what they meant by "done" I wanted to interperet many different ways. Done with salt water volcanos? yep. Done with 18 loads of wash eash week? yep. Done with Sam changing his clothes 5 times a day? you betcha, Done with "WHAT'S FOR DINNER!!!", oh ya, and tonight, definitely done with handfulls of worms in the kitchen!!!! I love my life.... I'm serious....quit laughing at me I really mean it!

The one where it's the little things!

I know you are all getting tired of pic's of my kids playing but come on, it doesn't get much better! Eliza and her buddy Aspen coloring and watching Mary Poppins! I kept hearing them say "here she comes, here she comes!" You know the famous scene of her floating through the clouds. It melted my heart, it truly is the little things!

I decorated my porch today and I thought that it looked cute so I wanted to share. Mom this is for kind of for you since you have been in Georgia for a long time and you have not had a chance to see it.
