just a few items of business.....

#1. our baby guessing game.
ethan did this for family home evening.
we'd love for you to join.
leave your guesses in the comment section.
it might be fun!
#2. when josh is out of town

we usually eat at the counter,
and i stand at the counter.
well the other night i had dinner
almost done and i wasn't feeling too hot
so i went to lay down.
when i came back in sam and eliza had done this
whole "set up". they had a place set for everyone
and a place at the bread board for me. they took
the cushions off of my rocker so i could have a comfy seat.
i love those kids of mine!!!

#3. last but certainly not least....i have a fun new hobby.

you might say i'm obsessed.
they are a fun outlet for all of this crazy energy i have.
i saw these on a blog and thought about ordering one
until i saw they were $40.

this is libbys.
this is elizas.
this is emmas.
and this cute little witch was
painted by none other than my hubby.
he wanted in on the action.
it was the most "feminine" thing
i've seen him do in 14 years of marriage.
not bad eh?
ok, thats all.
enjoy your monday.

guilt.

oh, i'm sorry, is this not what you do
when you have a lunch playdate before school?

ya, me neither.
except when i am having some major guilt
that i am giving birth to her baby brother in 3 weeks
and even though she's out of her mind excited....

it gonna' rock her world.

Thursday, September 10, 2009

the other day i was having a phone conversation with a friend.
i was telling her that sometimes i go into the nursery
at night and sit in the rocking chair and rock.... a onesie.
just to get through these last few weeks.
don't judge me.
anywho.....
ethan apparently heard that and asked me if it was true.
he was mortified.
he obviously couldn't handle the fact that his
mom was losing it. rocking empty baby clothes.
so i said,
"oh i was just kidding, i would never do that, i was just being funny."
just like i would NEVER rock out to miley cyrus without kids
in the car. how embarrassing.

...and a jay z song was on....i put my hands up they're playing my
song, the butterflies fly away, nodding my head like ya, movin'
my hips like ya.....

WHAT?

update on the 'tude. (see previous post)

here's what my positive attitude did for me today.
-car vacuumed out
-3 sparkling clean bathrooms, you could seriously eat out of my tubs
-house picked up
-all laundry done. washed, folded, ready for kids to put away!
-that dingy grey sink, pearly white!

all by noon!
(ok, the sink was around 3:30ish)

hells ya i'm bragg'n. have you seen me lately. its not pretty.

on having a better attitude.

i was reading back a little on my blog and i realized i don't sound very grateful for my life and the many wonderful blessings that i have. so here, on this tuesday morning i will change(just a little bit.)
i am thankful to still be pregnant today.
i had some full blown, painful, somebody slap me,
contractions yesterday and after a long, warm shower they stopped.
it made me realize, as anxious as i am, i am not ready for this baby to come.
i am not ready for my last pregnancy ever to be over, i want him here when he's ready, not when i'm ready. i want him healthy and chubby and ready to thrive in this house of chaos. i still want to still feel him doing in-utero gynastics, and be able to have josh and the kids feel it and chuckle at the thought of what he must be doing.
i am thankful that i have a hospital to deliver this baby and insurance to pay for it.
they still do the mug, and thats all i really care about.
the baby doesn't care that on his "all about me" poster his place of birth will say bountiful instead of salt lake....right?
now i am grateful that school has started and all that it entails, but i do miss my kiddos,
not complaining, just stating.
i love waking them up in the morning and making them a yummy breakfast and then helping each one with their outfit, hair, and finishing touches. and on that note,
when do i quit combing ethans hair? i mean he is 12, but he likes me to do it and why not? and i have to say his gel to hair ratio when he does comb it is not so pretty.
i love knowing that they go out the door knowing they are loved and cared for. at least i hope they do. if not, this 6:30(ish) wake up time is not really work'n for me. again, not complaining just say'n.
i am thankful that my husband has a job he loves.
even though i complain about the travel, i get him home with me. a lot.
well i think that covers it, and i won't go as far as bearing my testimony, but those of you who truly know me, know what i believe.
well i'm off to make beds, start laundry(i took yesterday off),
and putter around the house.

and i wouldn't change it for the world.

so last night i was snuggling with eliza,
and she turns to me and says,
Eliza:"mom, i don't want to hurt your feelings,
but sometimes when you eat it grosses me out."
me:"um, why ? thats wierd."(trying not to cry,thinking its because i'm chubby)
Eliza:"because i hate to think of the baby sitting in all of your food."
after a quick explanation of the babies location,
we were both feeling much better.

a bump in the road.

so i got a piece of disturbing news yesterday.
not really to any of you, just me.
i'm trying really hard not to be a baby about it.
just like yesterday, i tried really hard not to cry about it.
what is it?
because of our insurance,
i can't deliver this baby at the same hospital as my others.
bye, bye LDS....hello Lakeview.
if any of you have delivered there will you
tell me about it, only positive, because there isn't one dang
thing i can do about it.
$250 out of pocket or $4600 out of pocket.
when i told ethan this he said,
"well it sounds to me like you know what you've got to do,
the epidural probably won't be as good either."
what the?
where's the sensitivity?
thanks for sharing,
and don't tell me i'm being a baby.
i might just cry.

so long, farewell, alvederzane a doo,

my last photo shoot is tonight.
thats right, after a year and a half
i'm hanging up my hat.
this little baby, and his 4 siblings
are going to take up so much of my time that
i don't want to be squeezing in photography.
so my many thanks go out to all of you friends
(and your referrals)
for helping this little business of mine grow more than
i could have ever imagined.
i may start up in the spring, but it is doubtful.
call me, i may be persuaded.
oh, stop crying, there's lots of great photographers out there.
no, no, you're right. not for the deal i gave you, but none the less,
you'll find someone new to capture your memories.
thanks again.
