hello, hello, is this thing on?

hey peeps.

i'm back.

ya, for a week now.

i have had so many thoughts racing through

my mind lately and when that happens

i sort of shut down in blog land.

and i think thats because i'm affraid

if i sit down to share i'll share too much.

that could be akward for both of us.

so lets just look at griff.

he wanted to eat at the big table this morning.

and there is something about him up to that

table that makes my heart hurt a little.

isn't he getting so big.

i can't believe its been almost 2 years.

he is truely the joy in all of our lives.

he is such a happy little boy.

since i took him on that trip last week

everytime he sees an airplane he

points to himself and then me and say's,

" mommy, you me giffy go apane,

mon, mon, lets go."

thats my best griff impersonation.

well thats it for friday.

i hope you have the greatest weekend.

i myself can't wait for conference.

its one of my favorite times of the year.

and not just because i don't have to iron church clothes.

griff and i are off to spend some time

with this gal.

griffin has this laugh

that starts deep down in his throat

and then comes bubbling out

and spilling over.

its one of the best laughs i've ever heard.

and its the only thing i need to make my

day a litttle brighter.

so something happens to me when the temperature

drops below 80 degrees.

all of the sudden i need a denim shirt(got one), i need soup for dinner,

i want my windows open at night, i need new "set ups",

and i need to create.

so i did.

now these are by no means "originals".

we've all seen them a million times.

but since i'm too cheap to pay for them...

i copied.

i think they turned out pretty cute.

i think they are the perfect addition to elizas room.

i'm doing emmas next.

of course i'm copying another idea, but tweaking it to make it my own.

i'll show ya, just give me a little time.

a fun new bench for my kitchen.

its an old church pew.

i love the extra seating it give us.

i pulled it up to my table for a family party

and the heavens opened and angels sang.

it is perfect.

now i just need to find the perfect fabric for some new pillows.

a cute new pillow for elizas bed.

my friend heidi made this for her and i love it.

i love the mix of blue, pink, and red in her room.

it feels like one big valentine.

ok.

i bought a shirt for griff at nordstrom

and it came with this free lithograph.

it is apparently a line they have made for disney.

a collectors item if you will. gag.

i just thought it was a cute shirt.

but i love the print.

i hung it above griffs dresser.

oh, this guy?

he just wanted to say hi and show you his binky.
