emma birthday continued....

emmas day continued on....

her favorite dessert is a native

australia thing...pavlova.

she loves it so i whipped it up.

she was so happy!

 we had her favorite dinner that night,

sushi!

then this weekend, last night to be exact,

it was party time~

now emma wasn't supposed to have a friend party this year.

we go every other year on that.

but a few days ago she asked for some friends

to come over saturday just to "hang out"

well 12 friends, a yummy dinner, and a chocolate fountain later...

sounds like a party to me.

she had a blast.

she was nice enough to let griff in on the action

for part of the night,

and he was so tired!

"party pooped" you could say!

emma is 13 today.

wow, even as i type this

i can't believe it.

why does it shock me so much

that my kids are growing up?!

this girl.

she is the best.

she is my helper.

my fashion "go to."

she often get embarrassed by me

but i know she loves me.

she had a rough time a while ago(lame friends)

and i watched her weather that storm and 

i knew that she was going to be able to handle

whatever life had in store for her.

she has a new group of friends now(darling girls!) and 

she was sending out texts last night about a get together

for her, and the texts came rolling back in...

"YES! i wouldn't miss it!"

" heck yes! love ya em!"

"can't wait!"

and i saw the joy on her face.

 i was so over come with love for her.

she is on the other side of it and better for it!

i can't wait to see what these next few years have in store for her!

i love you emma.

you stole my heart 13 years ago today.

lots of fun.

well lets start with the new year.

we went with some of our dear friends to a 

cabin in bear lake.

we had a great time sledding, chilling, watching movies,

eating, and just being together.

it is a great time!

we made these fun crowns for the new year.

next up was the much anticipated

Justin Bieber concert.

we got tickets back in june so it was a long wait!

the girls took extra time to get ready.

had to look good for Justin!

all "gussied" and ready to go!!!

dinner at "the garden" first!

 i will never forget their faces when he came on.

they both went crazy.

emma might have shed a tear.

it was such a good moment.

after the christmas break we started

back up with adventure wednesdays!

we went and saw "wreck it ralph".

the boys seemed so big!

there is so much more to catch up on 

but there is the start to a great

2013!

seriously? its the 19th?!

this whole blog thing is slip'n through my fingers.

you were so good to us this year.

so busy, so fun, so memory-filled,

sunday before christmas.

i love the christmas program at church.

i love new christmas clothes for my kids too!

we had a change upthis year with christmas eve.

we spent it with friends!

boy was it fun!

my mom was with my grandma who 

was not doing so well, and i missed them

but we made the best of it with the milnes!

to all sleep together!

it really takes a lot out of you to open presents!

 we hunkered down the rest of the day,

watching movies, playing with new things,

and just being together.

we also went and saw my mom and grandma.

it was bittersweet knowing this is my last christmas with her.

apparently i was over it, because as soon as

we got home i tore down christmas.

go ahead, sing it!

so!

christmas break has flown by.

we have had a great one.

not all sunshine and roses 

but a pretty great one at that.

i love this little family of mine

and i'm thankful for them every day!
