this girl of mine is funny....
and for the majority of the day she is home alone...
with me.
so yesterday she came bounding in from dance
and climbed up on my lap and said,
"mommy, i want a turkey sandwich, chips,
and juice... on a tray... on your bed so i can watch a show."
my first instinct was to say "who do you think you are?"
then i remembered exactly who she is...
the adored youngest of 4.
so i said "you betcha" and followed her orders.
i even made a fort out of her sandwich to hold her chips.
have i crossed a line?
maybe.
do i adore her?
absolutely

You're such a good mom! I NEVER would have let my kids eat on my bed. I can't get past the crumb factor... How do I learn to let go and enjoy (and let them enjoy) life more?
hence the tray.
CUTE! crossing the line? YES...but that's what makes memories. It's good to do that stuff every once in a while.

she is too cute. k so you named 5 of the names i have been thinkin of, Lucy, grace, Ella, eliza and emma, i know the last 2 are yours but i love em, except travis thinks we should steer away from church history, that elliminates Lucy, Emma and Eliza. Ella and Eliza are my 2 favorites at the moment, what do you think, should i stay far away from church history!
All I want to know is where was my sandwich on a tray. I was standing right there ya know.
