the eldest is 12!
how can this be.
it seems like yesterday that i held
this sweet baby boy
in my arms and he made me a mom.
he has made me so happy and proud to be
his mom everyday, since then.
he is such a good brother, son, and friend.
he helps me out in so many ways,
probably more than any 12 year old should have to,
but he (usually) does it willingly.
just the other day he said to me,
"mom if dad is out of town when you go into labor,
i'll go in and help you have the baby."
i have never known a kid that always wants to do
the right thing like ethan.
how can it be that i have only 7 more years
with him living in my house?
there are times i want to make time stop
and yet i can't wait to see the man
he is going to become.
i love you ethan,

Ethan, it's your Uncle Davy here. Welcome to manhood. In my culture when your turn 12 you would be given an old rusty beer can and a bag of potatoes then sent out to survive for a week on a wind torn patch of turf. You lad are a good, man and as such should be given something nice. How about something extordinary...Real Tickets?
I can't believe that he is 12. He is such an example to all of the kids in the neighborhood--I hope he continues to be a good kid!! Happy Birthday! (by the way he was way to cute as a kid--I know why you want to stop time.)
