The one with Vegas Baby!

So now that I've done my wifely and motherly duty and blogged about birthdays(please fell free to still comment so my boys feel loved) I can blog about my fun, fun, super fun weekend! My college roomie Jeanette is getting married so why not a weekend in Vegas to celebrate!! We shopped, ate, layed out, and the highlight....Beatles "LOVE" by Cirque du Soleil. It was amazing and quite an experience, I wish everyone could have the chance to see it because to describe it does not do it justice! This is such a fun group of girls and I am already thinking of another excuse to get back, Vegas on the whole is pretty much gross, but the shopping is awesome and being there with friends makes it even better!!! Congrats JJ, I love ya!!!

The one wtih Joshua Neil's Birthday!

Today is the birthday of my main squeeze! I attacked him with the camera and he was a good sport! I just wanted to capture the true Josh! He is the best husband, father, and friend in the whole world. He does so much for our family, and he always keeps things light! When I start to stress out he always calms me down, that is one of my favorite things about him. He is always positive and willing to help, our kids love to play with him and I am so glad they can always play sports together! I could go on and on so I think I will:

10 things I love about Josh.
1. He is a hunk.
2. He is sweet.
3. He is a great listener, and problem solver.
4. He honors his priesthood(cheesy, I know, but it is so true)
5. He always lets me choose the movie.
6. He folds the whites.
7. He works hard for our family.
8. He is willing to help anyone!
9. He let's me win, and is always first to say I'm sorry.
10.He is a great kisser!! ( it has to be said, he was kind of famous for it in the early 90's)

I am so lucky that he chose me for his wife, for many more reasons than those listed above, so 3 cheers for Josh today! Hip hip horray! Hip hip Horray! Hip Hip Horrray! Love ya babe.

The one where Ethan Joshua turns 11.

Please someone tell me how this happened. It seems like it was just 12 hours ago that my water broke and 12 hours after that all 9 pounds of this beautiful, smart, happy, thoughtful, sweet, sweet boy came into my life. It was the moment that I had waited for, well forever is seemed (he was 8 days late) and he made me a mom. When I think about first babies you always think they were perfect and how could that possibly be true? but Ethan was perfect. He was happy, he was content, he was smart, and as I describe him as a baby that could describe him today. He is still the perfect son for me. He is in tune with the things this family needs, and is most of the time willing to help with anything. I could not ask for a better "oldest child". What an example he is to my other kids, they all adore him, well maybe not Emma but I know deep down she does. My heart is so full of love for my son that I could just go on and on, but I won't because most of you know him and know how I feel about him.....so happy birthday sweet boy and happy birthing day to me.

The one with the magical month of May!

What a fun and busy month we have had so far! I was able to go on filedtrips with both Ethan and Emma, I have to say this is not my favorite thing. I don't know why , I can't explain it. When I'm there its great its just if I had my choice my kids would love me regardles of coming on fieldtrips or not. Don't even get me started on volunteering! Don't I "volunteer" every night that I help them with their homework? I told you not to get me started. Its guilt that I carry. Eliza also finished her first year of preschool, it got me thinking this time next year I'll have one done with elementary and pre school...tear. Sam still has his kindergarten graduation this week and he is so excited for next year to stay all day and eat lunch! I hate first grade, I dread it more than kindergarten. Its hard to have them gone all day...at first, i'm sure i'll get over it!!!
Oh I forgot to mention the darling Mothers Day tea that Emma'a class did. They played their ukelele's and read us stories and of course had goodies! Her teacher is the best! Happy rest of May!

The one where I'm busy!! or lazy?

I can't tell which is which! I'm either lazy or busy, but blogging has gone by the way side for me lately! Don't worry I still check everybody's blogs I just don't want to take the time to update mine! (ok it's lazy!) so here's the quick update....
Baseball is in full swing around here and I love watching Sam, he is the only one on his team that get's in a serious "ready position" and it is hilarious! he is so intense!
I am also in full swing with the new cheer squad, they are an awesome group of girls and I really feel energized by their youth, yes I am coaching again this year! GO VIKES! (ok its too busy!)
I had an awesome mothers day! Josh spoiled me all week! I was stoked about my gift though....drum roll please.....a canister vacuum! I know it sounds lame but it is exactly what I wanted! it does the floors so much better than sweeping! i'm still giddy! the kids also gave me their darling homemade things and I look forward to that each year! I thought how sad a day it will be when there isn't a paper cup full of dirt and seeds in my kitchen window:( Iwould hate to think Josh buttered me up all week because there was jazz game on on mothers day! but of course I was nice and LET him watch it!
Now on to the planting....i got all the flowers and pots done on saturday and now I can move on to the garden!! Nothing makes you feel better than a hard day's work and your hands in the earth all day! (ok, back to too busy!)
Well that's it for me! A sneak peak into my busy, lazy life! I will post some pic's of the flowers and also my new backsplash when I'm not feeling lazy....because yes, lazy wins for now!

The one with the awesome weekend!(that started on thursday)

New patio table and chairs because my hubby loves me and spoils me! (and because I beg like a 5 year old!)

I came home friday night and in a matter of 2 days my tulips had bloomed to greet me!!

REAL SALT LAKE!! It must be said that I usually let Josh take the boys but......Beckham was here!!! and I took the best picture of his bum while he was bent over warming up, only I took it with my moms camera, don't panic, i'll post it soon!!!geesh!!

I had the best weekend!! It all started with Womens Conference on thursday and friday, and boy did I need my spiritual cup filled and fill it I did! I came home so refreshed and renewed! (although I did skip stake conference, some things are slower to sink in) All of the classes were so wonderful, from marriage to children to just plain old being a woman which really isn't that plain! (see I did learn!) The best part is my new and old friends that I was with, they are the best and I really did have a great time! OK I'm gushing. ps. anyone is welcome to come and borrow my Eclipse or Michael Mclean cd's. While I was gone My hubby called and said he had found a patio table he thought I may like....and indeed I did so now it is mine and I love it!!! yae for eating outside while the mosquitos eat me! Then the ending to a great weekend Ethan's baseballs games(he got a hit each up to bat!) Sam's soccer game(he had 7 goals!) and then down to the ReAl game on the new Frontrunner(next time we'll drive) and it was so fun to see Beckham especially when he took his shirt off at the end and gave it to me!!! ok not me, but another adoring female fan!! I love weekends like this when it is one great thing after another and we really might have gone to conference except that Eliza puked all night long. I'm rambling, peace out!
