oh. my favorite over rated holiday is here again. yay!

enter debbie downer. wah, wah.

while my mind should be fixated on my hubs,

its actually racing with thoughts of

class parties, what to get the kids,

what yummy dinner to make that everyone will love etc. etc. etc.

i do like valentines, i do.

really.

its just that sometimes it feels made up.

and i know a lot of that is the pressure i put on myself.

oh well.

my hubby just told me he hired cleaning ladies for today!

friday night and i'm feel'n alright!

happy birthday mom!

i had so much fun planning this birthday dinner for my mom.

she always does such a big dinner for each of our birthdays

so i wanted to do the same.

i also threw in a theme.

hey no matter the age eveyone likes a party!

my mom is a big knitter.

like she knits EVERYDAY!

my kids have some beautiful knitted things from her.

so of course i chose a knitting theme!

i should have taken down my valentines stuff in the background.

it really detracts from the yarn pom poms.

you're the best.

thanks for all you do for our family.

even if knitting comes first sometimes.

just kidding.

have you read about design mom,

moving her family to france for a year?

it hurts.

i've never been one for big adventures but this i could do.

sell or store everything for a year,

homeschool your kids,

and move to the french country side.

ohh la la, tres chic.

see i could do it.

oh wait, i need to be independently wealthy.

dreams.

i think i'm yearning for the simpler life.

but if anyone wants to sponsor a family of 7's

move to france for a year let me know.

and she pulls out these little ditties.

they make me feel so 1950's.

much a refill is.

$1.00 for a pack of 3 notepads with 100 sheets.

i love this stuff.

and i love my grandma for keep'n it.

i'm totally going to start using them.

but sparingly.

i have a sneaking suspicion they are out of print.

wash.

how is it we don't get paid for this.

a full days work for a pat on the back.

bummer.

good thing i have personal job satisfaction.

and on a side note:

eliza sat down in the hall

to read her books to me while i did emmas hair

and griff plopped down right next to her and

sat there and listened to her intently.

i may need to exploit this.
