"this is what happens at my house when you spill paint on the garage floor."

or when you are an awesome kid
who thinks he can do awesome scooter tricks
off of your awesome ramp and you eat cement.
hard.

poor sammy boy.
we spent the better part of yesterday afternoon
and evening at primary childrens.
he ended up with stitches in the inside and outside of his lip.
along with a chipped toof.(thats what you have to call a front chipped tooth)
he was so brave. the doctors even said so.
they wanted to sedate him and sam just said,
"can we just do this already? i want to get it over with."
he even said that to the nice lady who came in to explain
the procedure using a doll.
he looked at her like
"really, does a gnarly dude like me look like a need a dolly explanation?"
the saddest part?
besides permanent scarring(for him and me)
he's missing the 2nd grade field trip today.
he's just not up for it.
he said, "thats ok mom, i'll just stay home and help you get things done."
i love this kid.
he was so brave, and i must say, i was so brave.
i am not good, in fact i suck when stuff like this happens.
but i manned up,
cause thats what you do when you're fly'n solo.
yep, josh is out of town.
i felt like sam and i should be doing the dora dance.
da da da da da da da we did it, we did it, we did it Horray!!!
love you sam.

ps. name the movie that the title came from.
i dare ya.

That sounds like a very traumatic experience. So sorry for Sam. He was a real trooper though. Holy cow, what a tough kid. He's lucky to have such a good mom taking care of him. Nothing worse than seeing your child suffer.

Breakfast Club...

Sam, it's me uncle Davy. You know the really cool guy that works at Real Salt Lake and besides your dad is pretty much the most awesome guy in the world...well anyway, chicks dig scars. And you were so freaking perfect anyway that this sort of thing had to happen or you would have been translated by the time you turn 12. Good luck lad, you are the man.

At least his name isn't "Claire."

"Claire? That's a fat girls name."

"I'm not fat!"

"True. Not at present....but I can really see you pushing maximum density."

Wow....somebody must have nothing else to do on a Sunday afternoon. :)
